Ableton disables PDC in this scenario, or does something to the PDC I'm not sure what, because you'd end up with a runaway PDC loop because you are adding a delay to the returns which then go to a bus which can then go to a return which can then go to a bus which can then.you get the idea. The solution is to disable all the sends on the track where you are bussing the returns. This can happen when you are sending return tracks to a bus. Or one of the other issues mentioned here is happening which means Ableton doesn't know the correct compensation to apply. I haven't had it not work in other situations. This should only happen when "Reduced Latency While Input Monitoring" is selected and is done by Ableton on purpose.

Or if it's just a single converter or multiples of the same converter there is again the Driver Error Compensation setting. So you have to calculate it yourself and add the correct number of samples to your external instrument or external audio effect. I have stuff plugged in via ADAT and AES and SPDIF but there is no way for Ableton to know the latency of those. Converter connected digitally to an interface and Ableton not having any way to know that converters latency. They do give you a solution which is to calculate the latency yourself and put it into the Driver Error Compensation box. This hasn't happened to me before but would be on the interface developer. Interface not reporting latency correctly. This hasn't happened to me before but I've heard it can happen and that's on the plugin developer. Things that can make it seem like PDC isn't working and some explanation of what's happening: Now that we're back on the PDC subject I always ask about people's problems because I've literally never had it not work in a way that either wasn't Ableton's fault or wasn't done on purpose by Ableton for some reason.

Which seems overly high when I've already paid for the software and this adds such a tiny amount of extra functionality.

So it's practically 60% of the cost of the full Standard for my upgrade. I don't understand why the upgrade (€159) is such a huge price relative to the cost of buying the whole thing from no existing license (€272), when it's adding so little. If so, then I guess the Suite upgrade should cost precisely the same as the Standard upgrade. In other words, there are no new additions exclusively to Suite 11. Is it exactly the same cost for the upgrade within Standard?Presently you can buy Ableton Standard from owning zero existing license for only €272.Īs far as I'm seeing it so far (perhaps I'm wrong?) the upgrade from Standard 10 > Standard 11 will bring precisely the same additional features as moving from Suite 10 > Suite 11. I can only see the price for 10 Suite to 11 Suite, which is currently €159 (reduced from €199).
Can someone tell me the upgrade price from 10 Standard to 11 Standard?
